Finding and dealing with your City Tech email

Please make sure that you have found your city tech email address and that you either check it on a regular basis, or you set it up to forward to the email address you prefer to use. Here is how:

HOW DO I LOG IN?

In order to access your email account, go to: 

http://outlook.com/mail.citytech.cuny.edu

Username:
Firstname.Lastname@mail.citytech.cuny.edu 
Password:
It’s your date of birth in a six digit format MMDDYY and the last four of your social security number. 
For example: If your date of birth is 01/06/86 and the last four digits of your social security number are 1234, then your password is 
—> 0106861234 (no spaces OR dashes)

HOW DO I CHANGE MY EMAIL PASSWORD?

1. Click on Options, See All Options. 
2. Click on change your password. 
3. Type your old password.
4. Type a new password.
5. Type the new password again to confirm it.
6. Click save.

HOW DO I FORWARD MY EMAILS TO MY PERSONAL EMAIL ACCOUNT?

1. Click on Options, See All Options.
2. Click on Account and Connected Accounts.
3. Under Forwarding, Forward my e-mail to: enter the email address you would like your emails to be forwarded to. 
4. Click on Start Forwarding. Make sure you leave a check mark on Keep a copy of forwarded.
